Helping students succeed: a city-wide discussion

The Office of the State Superintendent (OSSE) is hosting three community discussions in our ward about the following topics:

  • Overall school improvement (the No Child Left Behind Waiver);
  • Preparing for the transition from DC CAS to DC's new assessment for students (PARCC); and
  • Improving outcomes for students with special needs (Systemic SIP)

All three meetings will cover the same topics. Please come and share your thoughts!

H.D. Cooke Open House

The H.D. Cooke Elementary School community invites interested families (PK3 through 5th grade) to our final pre-lottery open house on Saturday, February 28th at 10am at the school’s library (2525 17th St NW).
